CEO Breakfast Roundtable

#MeTime

25th Jun 2020, 8am till 10am, Riding House Cafe, London

Hopefully, by now, all CEOs recognise the benefits of developing their team. But how easy is it for CEOs to forget about their own personal development? There’s no doubt it’s equally important but how many leaders find or rather make the time to do this.

During this session, we’ll look at the following areas:

Are you becoming a limiting factor to your company’s success?
With each day, week and month that passes your company faces new challenges and it’s likely that each one is more specific and more complex than the last. Your ability to navigate these has huge consequences on the success or failure of your company.

There isn’t a standard personal development plan like you’d have for one of your Account Managers, for example. So how do you become a better leader, get better at your job and help take your company to where you want it to be?

We’ll discuss what a personal development plan might look like for a CEO and some good mechanisms to have in place. From feedback from your team, support from peers and challenge and being held to account by external advisors.

Finally, we’ll look at the pipe dream that is a good work-life balance for a CEO.
There are so many different views on how to get the right balance between work and life.

We’ll look into what “me time” means, why we fail to find time for ourselves and what challenges lie within your business restricting you to do so. To some, finding time for oneself means time with the family or simply just being left alone with their own thoughts. We’ll discuss best practice, the fact that it’s a personal feeling and whether factors such as the stage of the business, market challenges or organisational structure affects this.

The event is a great opportunity to have a very open and honest discussion with peers, sharing knowledge, discussing best practice and hearing from a wide range of different perspectives.
